Cookie Notice

Introduction and Scope

This cookie notice (the “Notice”) explains how and why Stronger by Science Technologies LLC (“MacroFactor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and other similar technologies (“Tracking Technologies”) on the website macrofactorapp.com and its subdomains (the “Website”) to collect and develop data. We use these Tracking Technologies to make our website work, remember your preferences, analyze usage, and improve our content.

Please note that this notice does not cover our app’s tracking technologies.

If any of the information collected or processed through these Tracking Technologies qualifies as Personal Data, both our both our Privacy Notice and this Notice apply to its processing and transfer.

Different Types of Tracking Technologies Used on the Website

The Website uses three different types of Tracking Technologies: cookies, local storage, and session storage.

Cookies. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet, etc.) that contains information about your browser and online activity. This information is usually a mix of numbers and letters that uniquely identify your device.

There are two types of cookies, depending on who sets them:

  • First-party cookies are cookies set by the website you are visiting. Only that website can read them.
  • In addition, a website might potentially use external services, which also set their own cookies, known as third-party cookies. Third parties may collect information about your online activities over time and across different internet websites or online services. In the table below, we provide you with links to the applicable privacy notices for the providers who place third-party cookies on your device through our Website, where possible. Please refer to the privacy notices of those third parties to learn more about the ways in which they collect and process personal data about you.

Cookies can also be categorized by how long they last:

  • Persistent cookies stick around on your device and are not deleted when you close your web browser. They normally have an expiration date.
  • Session cookies, on the other hand, get deleted as soon as you close your web browser.

Local Storage. Local storage allows our Website to keep information on your device. It enhances your website experience by enabling features, remembering your preferences and saved settings, and speeding up our website’s performance. Unlike cookies, which are sent to the server with each request, local storage data remains on your device, making it quicker to access stored information. It also stays intact even after you close and reopen your browser.

We use the local storage object elementor, which is related to our website building service Elementor. This object does not send us any information about you.

In our help, feedback and roadmap portals, Gleap GmbH, our provider of customer feedback software, places local storage objects like gleap-widget-session-zIpIip followed by a long string of characters or zIpIip or theme . These are used to power those portals. We also use a local storage object named rc::c  which works to read and filter out requests from bots trying to enter a given website, and instruct the CAPTCHA to work as needed.

Session Storage. This technology is used by websites to temporarily store data on your device while you are actively using the Website. Unlike persistent cookies or local storage, session storage data is only available during your current visit to the website. Once you close the website or your browser, this data is automatically deleted and cannot be accessed again.

We use the following session storage objects:

  • elementor: This is related to our website building service Elementor. This object does not send us any information about you.
  • cmplz_id and complz_user_data: These objects are related to Complianz, our cookie compliance management tool, and they are used to record and remember whether you have interacted with the cookie banner during your visit.

As noted above, in this Notice, we simply call all these technologies “Tracking Technologies.”

How We Respond to Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control Signals / Online Tracking

“Do-Not-Track” (DNT) is an optional browser setting that you can use to express your preferences regarding tracking by advertisers and other third-parties. Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a similar setting. For more information, please visit https://allaboutdnt.com/ and https://globalprivacycontrol.org/. You can set your browser or install a plugin to send DNT or GPC signals to the websites you visit.

Our Website is set to respect DNT and GPC signals. However, please note that the technology to detect whether a website honors DNT  and GPC signals does not always work as intended.

Opting Out of Tracking Technologies

If you do not want non-strictly necessary cookies to be stored on device, please update your cookie preferences in our cookie banner. You will need to disable the categories of cookies that you do not want, such as statistic or marketing cookies. Please also clear any existing cookies from your browser.

As indicated above, you may also set your browser to send a DNT or GPC signal.

You can also alter the configuration of your browser to reject certain types of Tracking Technologies, including local storage and cookies. For example, if you use Google Chrome, you can paste chrome://settings/content/siteData into your address bar and make your selection. For more information about how to manage cookies, please visit https://www.aboutcookies.org/.

You may also control your online behavioral advertising preferences and opt out from having your data processed by certain marketing companies by visiting http://www.youronlinechoices.com/ and http://optout.aboutads.info/. Please note, however, that managing these preferences will not turn off internet advertisements in general. You will still receive the same number of advertisements, but those advertisements will be less reflective of your interests, as indicated by your web browsing habits. In addition, please note that the opt-out preferences that you set using these tools may be nullified if you delete your cookies after setting them.
